The 4th of July is a great time to acknowledge our strenghts and weaknesses.
We are not afraid of change.
We are still a symbol of opportunity to many around the world.

<p>His son was just drafted by the NY Knicks. Maybe his son and his possible future in the NBA opened the dad’s eyes at least to the PR mess he created for his kid.</p>
<p>Those of us who have followed Tim Hardaway Jr’s career to date don’t care what his dad thinks … gosh, my own dad was so much more conservative than I have ever been! I am glad to see his dad’s change of heart, but I want to take this opportunity to caution against assuming the son is like the father. Broad assumptions are dangerous.</p>
<p>I don’t think people attribute Tim to Tim, Jr. but the issue comes up all the time. So I hope Tim has changed his beliefs but even if he didn’t it’s a smart move to turn off that repeating loop of “I hate gays”.</p>
<p>I didnt even know he had a son, but I would agree that my kids have made me a better person.</p>
<p>Drafted 24 in the first round. Tim Jr was outshone by his teammate Trey Burke, who was drafted 9th by Minnesota.</p>
