People in Suits Holding Black Folders

So I was scuffling by the RSF, and suddenly I smelled the smell of ties emanating from the gym. I walked inside and realized that a career fair, one of the grandest events offered by this public institution, was taking place. Sadly, I did not have my CV in hand as I did not anticipate this event. Nevertheless, I chatted up a few but none of the offerings seemed to pique my technical interest. Anyways, that’s not why I made this thread. While inside the RSF, I saw prospective applicants dressed in shady suits and carrying black folders.

What are these fancy folders for, and is there a formal term for them? Where can I buy these collectibles? Also, anyone have useful advice for landing internships for a CS/EECS major? ありがとうございます。

The formal term for them is padfolios. You can pick them up at the student store. I’m not too sure about CS/EECS in particular, but good places to start are career fairs, Callisto, and anybody you may know that had an internship last summer that you might be interested (they can help you through the process, give you their perspective on the internship itself, etc.)
