Perception of an MS in BME outside of biomed industry

My BS is in applied math.
I’m considering MS Biomed Engr because it’s very interdisciplinary.
I’ve enjoyed undergrad coursework in controls, signal processing, optics, and solid mechanics but lack industry experience to help me narrow down my interests.
I also handle biology pretty well.
However, I don’t particularly like (or dislike) the biomed industry, and would like some flexibility.

So, what’s the perception of an MS BME (at, say, a top 10 school) to employers outside of biomed? Would it open doors to many industries (because it’s interdisciplinary) or would it restrict me to the biomed sector (because it lacks depth)?

Thanks!
