Perfect Fit School

I am a mexican boy, applying for 11th grade, I am looking for a balanced school, I have in mind: exter, andover, hotchkiss, deerfield, and maybe lwreceville an choate

But I want the school not to be too artistic, excellent academics, languages offered, the place not to be in huge cities, but were you can easily move but have interesting places to hang out, good sports and facilities

i think i am studying engineering, so a school with slightly good maths, physics will help

thanks for the help

It’s very competitive to try and enter as an 11th grader (5th Form). You should definitely add some safety schools to your list. Also, start thinking about whether you are looking for a school with a large student body, or small student body.

You would need to give us more information on who you are (sports? extras? How far from home is too far away? Do you need substantial Financial Aid, etc) so that people can give good suggestions.

wow racist much? dude racism is not cool on CC take your racist views elsewhere please

How was any of that racist ?

I don’t think anyone here is trying to be racist?

That’s what I was thinking lol…

Puchini$,

Please disregard answerbag’s comments and rest assured that nothing I said had anything to do with race. Regardless, your minority status is a hook, and there is nothing negative about that!! I think answerbag misread something in my post.

I never felt offended, thanks for your response. I think a large student body means less teacher attention, I am a good swimmer and runner, and I am currently studying German independently from my school. Next year I am having french as a subject in my school. I also like going to a place were they take care of kids wich thei parents can not economically care them (sometimes they don´t want them) I help them with the school and teach them how to divide and multiply

feel free to make comments or suggestions on how can I improve my chances to get into those schools

OK, I read a few of your other posts - Are you an international student? If so, that is a huge hook which is especially helpful for 11th grade applicants. It also will affect which tests you need to take as part of the application process. Since it is early in the game, if you can, it may be worth it to take the SSAt test before July 30th. That way it will NOT count towards next year and you can see how you do, what you really need to work on, etc. If you are international there is another test which must taken as well (which I am not so familiar with since we are domestic applicants).

A larger student body doesn’t necessarily mean less student attention… I think the student-teacher ratio says more about that than the population.

NMH possibly? I have heard great things about the school!
