At/below what tier schools do perfect test scores essentially guarantee admission? Top 20? Top 30? Top 50?
AFAIK - no top tier school (or perhaps no school) guarantees admission just based on test scores
I understand that no one guarantees admission based on test scores, but at what schools would my chance at acceptance be 99.99% (essentially guaranteed)?
Will let other posters comment. But it is my understanding that test scores are just one piece of the puzzle. There may be state schools - like UCF in FL - which guarantee based on test scores, GPA, and a couple of other factors.
@Deez123 most elite schools admit holistically (as @MedSciBud said), so a 2400/1600/36 alone won’t guarantee admission, or even boost your chances of admission significantly over a 2350 or 35.
Some state schools guarantee admission if your test scores are above a certain threshold, in addition to meeting other basic requirements.
OP, let me put it to you this way, even if someone has perfect SAT and ACT scores, he’s not getting into any top tier score with a 70% average.
The other posters already gave you a solid answer: Perfect scores do not guarantee admission anywhere because there are many factors that determine admission.
agreed - there is never guaranteed admission unless they themselves have auto admit or guaranteed admission programs
Community Colleges are autoadmit.
In the top 50? None. Zip-a-dee-doo-dah. Plenty of applicants to that tier get rejected every year with perfect stats. For those colleges, stats are just one part of the application.
