<p>Currently work as a grant writer at one of the state’s top performing arts venues. The position is only an internship, and will expire come the end of August. Not sure where to go from here. A lot of the performing arts places around here aren’t hiring full-time employees, or the pay is very low. Applied for a sales position recently, thinking it might assist in building the skills to be successful at fundraising. Thinking about applying for the position of executive assistant at a small company about an hour north of me. </p>
<p>Would I be heading it the wrong direction working in either sales, or as an executive assistant? The goal is to become a performing arts executive, and I’m hoping I’m not putting myself in the wrong direction.</p>
