<p>My D is receiving a Perkins loan, but one other school that she was accepted stated they no longer are receiving funding, so I don’t know if it is being phased out.</p>

<p>My daughter has a Perkins loan (all be it a small one) in her financial aid award. The financial aid s/b disbursed in a couple of weeks - I am hoping they would have told her by now if she was not going to receive the Perkins.</p>
<p>I had heard that funding (on CC I think) has been reduced.</p>
<p>I am pretty sure anything that has been awarded will remain. I don’t think colleges award those loans until the feds tell them their budget for the year.</p>
<p>When I worked in financial aid, a state scholarship was cut mid year & students had to scramble at the last minute to replace $1200 they thought they were receiving for 2nd semester. However, I doubt that would happen at the federal level.</p>
