<p>What are the perks of either of those two scholarships other than the monetary value they have. Do the scholars have better dorms, more resources, or what?</p>

<p>They do not get anything special other than a full ride for renaissance and additionally, renaissance is near impossible to get. Many who get the PSAT scholarships such as National Merit get the Rush Rhees scholarship.
If you want housing preference for freshman year, you need to apply ED.</p>
