I’m about to begin on my personal statements but I am apprehensive because one of my essays will be about my interest in psychology (which I will major in), and the other- how I will be a physician (more specifically a dermatologist) because I want to help indivdiduals who have skin diseases/or problems such as myself. (Vitiligo)
Are these two essay topics too conflicting? I am aware that to gain acceptance into medical school you don’t need a pre-med major- but it is better to have a single-focused discipline? Such as focusing on psychology as my major and becoming a psychologist? I much prefer writing about majoring in psychology and becoming a physician because that is what I’d write more passionately about.

Furthermore, my psychology essay would be more “supported” because I volunteered at Alliance For Community Care- the top mental health center in my area, and have taken 3 psychology classes up to junior year with 3 more coming in senior. The career choice essay will be based on my own “wants”, dreams, and aspirations.
