<p>Can we start a thread with CCers nominations for Person of the Year – you know, our own version of the Time thing?</p>
<p>I guess but it would be a tough call. I’d give the edge to curm…extra points for humor.</p>
<p>Jeez, I’m way funnier than Curmudgeon, who is, after all, best known for being cranky and unpleasant.</p>
<p>My vote for person of the year goes to “Mom.” Who else deserves it more?</p>

<p>Well, if, like Time, we look outward rather than inward, I would propose the tandem of Marilee Jones and the departed Penn admissions director (whose name I forget), for furnishing the occasion for much speculation and amusement, and even some substantive thought.</p>

<p>Weird - I read it as zmom wants OUR nominations for “Person of the Year” nationally, not a CC participant. But CC’ers opinions of who it should get nominated nationally…which is it Zmom!!!</p>
<p>How about nominating 2 persons of the year: CC Person of the Year and “Outside CC” Person of the Year?</p>

<p>Outsider: I’ll probably get flamed for this but how about the middle class American citizen. From everyone I talk to, they are a dying breed.</p>

<p>I like the two person idea. I fully support LatetoSchool as my CC inspiration. Outside? I really don’t know. Not a great year for heroics in the world.</p>
