Personal Messages

Okay, if you are typing a personal message, and you’re not done and you accidentally press submit message, an automatic window comes up right. So let’s say you press “cancel” or the red x, the message still sends! Is there any way we could make it so that when you click cancel or the red x, the message doesn’t send? This has happened to me several times and I think the people I’ve sent messages too have gotten the message twice which well…isn’t good.

Isn’t the dialogue box asking, “Would you like to request a read-receipt for this message” (or something like that)?

If so, it’s not intended to be an “Are you SURE you want to send this message?” check, but rather **to find out if you want a read receipt/b. Why would you assume otherwise?

Also, how do you accidently send a PM? That has never happened to me before.

The simple solution to your problem isn’t to re-code the forum… it’s for you to stop pushing buttons prematurely!

I know, like I mean to press “Preview Message” first but I usually press the “Submit Message” first by accident. I guess I’ll have to pay more attention :stuck_out_tongue:

Raven is correct… “submit” means “send it now”.
