<p>Hi, I have two questions
First, I am writing a personal statement and i was using the
“End up” thought it wasn’t formal, so I was thinking about change it to wind up ?
or can you suggest something more formal
note: Wind up and end up here mean “become eventually”</p>

<p>My second question, I am applying for more than one college, can I use the same personal statement, but with a little bit of changes or not?</p>

<p>I really appreciate your help and advice on these two questions. </p>

<p>Wind up and end up are equally informal. Neither is too informal for your personal statement, so long as it fits in the flow of your writing. You could try to rewrite the sentence to use “in the end” or, as you suggest “eventually” which would both be a little more formal.<br>
For question two, of course you can. Just revise it to address the essay prompts of each school.</p>
