One of the day schools that accepted my son sent him a personalized acceptance letter that included quotes from his recommendations and referred to a number of his activities. Is this common? Could they possibly do this for every kid they take? Just curious.

Some (likely smaller) schools do that. One of the schools that sent my son a personalized acceptance letter was a k-12 day school that enrolls 15-20 high schoolers each year.

Those numbers are about the same as this school so I guess it wouldn’t be a back-breaker for them to do it that way. He got a kick out of it and I thought it was an effective recruitment tool.
