<p>Since I did quite miserably on my math placement test I have the option of only taking 21-120 for math. But I strongly want to take 21-121. What is the exact procedure to petition? What documents do I need? And how easy is it for me?

<p>Petitioning probably means asking your advisor, but if you did poorly on the placement test, you may not have the foundation of calculus needed to do well in 21-121 and later calculus courses. Unless there was a reason for doing poorly on the placement test, I would hesitate petitioning.</p>
