Anyone have any advice about how difficult it is to get into UF’s Pharm school and what do you do if you don’t get in the first try…

It should be pretty difficult since their pharmacy school is highly ranked in the nation. But since it’s a public school Florida residents have a better chance.

If you don’t get in hopefully you get into another pharmacy school. If not, and assuming you don’t already have your bachelor’s, I’m pretty sure you just continue to strengthen your application and apply until you reach the point of getting your bachelor’s and most people get into at least one pharmacy school by then, even if it isn’t UF’s.

My friend is a 2nd year pre-pharm major at UF (he’s applying to UF’s Pharmacy school this year) and he said it’s pretty easy to get in. A 3.0 GPA and a decent PCAT score is considered “competitive”. It’s easy to nail the interview, too, because most Pharmacy majors are pretty socially awkward. (No offense, it’s just what he’s seen!)

Just do a search under “UF”

The average PCAT in 2006 was an 86 with an average GPA of 3.5 math /science.
