phase equlibrium books

Hi, can anyone recommend to me a good phase equilibrium book? I am interested in brushing up (and re-learning) vapor-liquid equilibrium. Thanks.

If you’re in materials science I’ve used Porter & Easterling (though this is mostly solid-solid and solid-liquid transformations ) which was alright. There’s not a whole ton of math and most of the material was presented fairly well. The index is complete crap, so beware of that.

Callen wrote a very good thermodynamics book which covers a good amount of phase equilibrium in a few chapters, though it’s not as in depth as some books since there’s a lot of basic thermo and statistical mechanics still in it.

You might want to try grabbing a few thermo books and see what their recommend further reading is for the chapters that cover things like vapor-liquid equilibrium if you want a really in depth understanding.
