Phase I for IB Upper divs?

done with prereqs.

Also, what is the easiest of these?
Evol. Med seems like an interesting one and maybe human genetics

IB 169 is full unless you have 90 or more units of college courses (not including AP, in other words) AND are declared in IB. It is a high demand course that fills quickly.

IB 163 is also full already.

IB 141 is possibly the easiest of the courses that address your group A requirement (Evolution and Genetics).

Since you also have to take at least three classes from the pool for groups B and C (doubling up on the one that will be your choice of track in the IB major), those are probably more valuable to consider for phase I this semester, particularly if you plan to take IB141 in summer to knock off the group A requirement.

Look at the ones that are NOT already full and that satisfy one of the B, C and laboratory requirements for the major. [IB: Undergrad Curriculum](http://ib.berkeley.edu/student/courses/curriculum.php)

If not declared yet, you have to choose among those that have space left in an open category.

Some are only useful as electives (not on the list for A, B, C, labs) but you will need some elective units to finish up. These should be last priority, phase II courses. For example IB C100 is open to nonmajors but does not hit the requirements, elective only.

IB 115 has openings right now for nonmajors, qualifies as a group C course

IB 138 has openings, qualifies as group C

IB 140 has openings, qualifies for group C

IB 166 has exactly one opening left, only for open, full for declared IB, for group B

IB C195 is wide open, does not qualify for A, B, C or lab, so elective units only

I did not look at pre-req requirements for the courses above that have openings, but that is another factor you will have to verify.

I am assuming you haven’t declared yet, because you would have worked with the advising office and your faculty advisor to map out a set of likely courses.

Just so you know, IB 166 is a fundamentally awesome course.

I would stay the bloody away from 163. I know Slatkin is a bad teacher and I’ve heard from reputable sources that Bachtrog is worse.

Meh 166 has 1 opening left but labs are full : [

I added 115 and 169, do you think that’s alright? I’m on the waitlist for 169 as number 70 and there’s 180 ppl in the class…lol so should I add something else?
