Phd in information studies?

I’m thinking about applying for PhD programs for Fall 2016. I have a masters in Library and Information Science from Rutgers with a 3.5 GPA and a 154 on my verbal reasoning GRE, 149 in the quantitative reasoning, and a 4.0 in the analytical writing. I have great recommendations from my professors and finished my MLIS in less than a year.

Now I’m not explicitly interested in a degree in Library Science, but I’m interested in information science or some variation of it. A few of the program that might seem like a good fit for me are Florida State, UT-Austin, and U of Maryland-College Park. I’m wondering if anyone familiar with the field could be me some advice about pursuing a PhD in information science or recommendations of any programs I should be looking at?
