Is it pretty safe to say almost everyone at UW got this email? The requirements for this honor society are pretty low & they say this is a new honor society… seems pretty sketchy. They aren’t mentioned on UW’s list of honor societies: [UW Honors - Honorary Societies at the UW - Local Chapters](http://depts.washington.edu/uwhonors/community/societies/)
This is the 2nd email they’ve sent me

Whether it’s valid or not, I’m not going to join… Phi Beta Kappa sounds much better, the requirements to get in are much higher

This is a reminder that due to your outstanding academic achievement and student involvement, Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity invites you to become a part of the founding class of our newest Chapter at the University of Washington and invite you to one of our information meetings this week!

What is Phi Sigma Pi? Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity is an active, undergraduate co-educational organization that mixes the best elements of an honor society, service organization and social group into a fusion of Scholarship, Leadership and Fellowship. We are an active campus organization that offers a wide variety of experiences for our members, both male and female, ranging from academic programs and leadership opportunities to service projects and social gatherings. Members are well-rounded people who like to stay connected – with our studies, within our community and with our potential. In Phi Sigma Pi, you’ll gain life-long connections and friendships with other students at the University of Washington and beyond.
