What can anyone tell me about Phillips Exeter Academy?

and what’s the SSAT score you must have to to get into it?

Well. I got to PEA, you can ask me anything you want. Basically, it’s pretty chill.
Also, there’s no NUMBER you must get in with. I know people that got an 85 overall that got in straight off the bat and some that got a 98% that got wait listed. Tests are important, but it’s much more than that. You pretty much need to do something that makes you stand out. Taking a bunch of honor classes isn’t really gonna do it either. Everyone at PEA basically took honors classes at their old school. So try to find something special about yourself that you can work on.

There’s no necessary score. I got 99, but whatevs.

PEA is awesome. It’s really intense - not just academically, but socially, dramatically, but I really enjoy that about the school. It’s full of LIFE…so much going on. People generally LOVE and HATE it…not love OR hate it…do both. It’s…life “at an inconceivable pitch of intensity…”

I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Exeter is my heart and soul. I promise you. It will change your life even though it might not always be pretty. It truly is “an education like no other.”

there is no “necessary score”, i’ve heard of plenty who had like ssat scores in the eighties and got in. it depends on so many other factors. the ssat score is actually a pretty small factor in the school’s decisions. the interview, ur grades, recs, etc, count for so much more. of course, a low ssat score would look bad, and a ninety-nine percentile would look very nice, but they dont count for much. a ninety percentile and above would be fine, just fine. just go do ur thing and worry about ur grades and stuff. they will be more important.

when u have finished the admission process you will see how much stuff u have learned about it, like me :)

well I’m homeschooled how does that work?
