What do philosophy majors typically do when they graduate? As in what kind of jobs?

Teach…

law…

med school…

Just about everything.

Bachelors degree generally =/= vocational degree.

pretty much anything they want to besides very very technical stuff, such as engineering or stuff along those lines.

Teach, graduate school, or write lots of books.

You can be good at everthing. Phil. pretty much teaches you how to be smart. Its an awsome major

Here is what UPenn Philosophy majors went on to do. Disclaimer: this list may include people who double majored in something else so who knows…

Merriam-Webster: General Definer <== LOL

depends on the person. All I can really say on the topic is that College know it all hippy philosophy majors typically do nothing.

When life gets tough and nothing makes sense, I turn to anime for guidance…
I also turn to video games…do you remember what Toad told Mario after he failed to rescue Princess Toadstool?..“Your Princess is in another castle.” I hold that wisdom dear to my heart.

Ironically, and humorously, I must say that I cannot argue your logic. During times of sorrow, there is just nothing better than plugging in your Super NES and losing yourself in Super Mario World or one of the retro Final Fantasy Games.

philosophy pretty much trains you to go to grad school

Yes I just started playing Xenosaga episode 2. These spiritual themes (ala. FF the movie: Advent Children) really get you thinking about the world. So do the themes in Halo:

Cortona: “We are all that’s left! We did what we had to do, to save Earth…Halo…it’s finished”
Master Chief (ever the fatalist): “No…I think we’re just getting started!”
