I am an international student and I got a Princeton phone interview. Should I email my interviewer a resume or does he already have my application materials?

where are you?

China. Any advice?

That would be scary… I couldn’t imagine doing an interview by phone with someone I don’t know. You don’t have to turn in anything they don’t request.

From what I’ve heard of the interviews other people have had (and experienced from my own), I don’t think a resume is necessary. Though, turning one in may make you look organized and provide material for the interviewer to ask you questions about. Your interviewer may or may not know much about you as my interviewer knew virtually nothing about me while some others have said that the interviewers have already read through parts of their application.

Interviewers are generally not provided with any information about the applicants, so I think that it would be helpful to email your resume, although I might leave out any class average, rank and testing information, since interviewers are not supposed to have that information.
