phone reception

<p>The OIT envelope that we received mentions some enhanced cell phone service. Not sure how that works for someone with a current national plan. Is the point that the P option replaces or adds to one’s current service? And since the Gothic dorms are so bad for reception, what guarantee is there that whatever they’re offering will be any better?</p>

<p>Perhaps someone like tunafish can weigh in on how best to ensure that a student will be able to call out from one’s own room whenever he/she wants or needs to (to non-free locations). Is it better to bring a portable phone for that?</p>

<p>in the dorm bulidings reception sucks, especially the gothic ones. however, verizon or cingular will be your best bet on campus. but arrive at school expecting very little from service in the dorms</p>
