<p>Question - how is Verizon cell service in Keeney?</p>
<p>Also - unrelated question, the reslife stuff says NOT to bring a toaster oven. But how lax are they with toasters in dorm rooms? - especially in Keeney. Is the kitchen enough for, say, toasting a bagel etc. etc.?</p>
<p>they do dorm searches during each semester for fire hazard stuff, so if you get caught with it then, you’ll probably be fined and have it taken. How often do you plan on toasting outside of meals? The ratty has a toaster there for bagels. I wasnt in dorm kitchens much, but I assume they have something that could toast bagels.</p>
<p>Having candles carries a fate worse than death. Nothing else will really get you in any kind of trouble. This includes such delights as large quantities of booze and toasters of all sorts. </p>
<p>You will be notified when dorm inspections are beginning. At that point, hide your toaster until your room has been inspected. After this happens, you can take it out again! Simple as can be! Chances are that if you DO get caught, you will just be told to get rid of it by a re-inspection date, although toasters are pretty heavy-duty fire hazards, so maybe they’ll confiscate it on the spot. I doubt you’d get fined, but its a possibility.</p>
<p>Oh, and please be safe. I lived in Keeney, and I expect to be able to visit my old room for many years to come.</p>
<p>MG is right in terms of easily avoiding the inspections and that candles are their biggest concern, however, the kitchens should be plenty for what you want.</p>

<p>ok so i’ll stay away from the toaster oven in room for the time being, and see what the kitchen has in store (i was asking because in the morning i’d rather not HAVE to go to the ratty, and instead, just toast a bagel and eat it on the way to class… but we’ll see if the kitchen has a toaster)</p>

<p>Kitchen probably won’t have a toaster.</p>
<p>Verizon is kind of spotty across campus. Generally, if you’re on an upper floor, it’s ok, but not so great on the ground.</p>
