Photo Animation of September 11th

After viewing United Flight 93 in theaters, I drove home reflecting on the events of that harrowing day and I recovered a wonderfully made photo animation of the events of the day from my computer, which I had saved from a website shortly after the attacks. Although it is somewhat graphic and sad, it is a very compelling short animation that sums up the feelings/thoughts/situations of that day while paying due homage to those brave men and women who sacrificed their lives to protect the ideals of our country. I think it also gives us a due reminder of why we’re fighting this War on Terror and why we need to halt the rise of religious fudnamentalism and support for extremist movements.

Girl next door…Thank you for the post and the link.

I remember seeing this presentation sometime after the attack and seeing it again revives those feelings very clearly. Although our views on our country’s mode of response may differ, I think the gut level feelings of and reactions to that day are universal amongst us. The memories are so vivid that it feels as if no time has passed at all.

Good video, very moving. I hope we can succeed in the War on Terror and not get sidelined with other, unrelated conflicts. I also hope we can halt the rise of religious fundamentalism and hatefulness in our own country that the terrorists apparently succeeded in bringing out.
