I say this based on being in many, many female-dominated fields/classes with eligible single guys and eligible single gals and none of them suddenly becoming raging d-bags.

Who said anything about men becoming raging d-bags (whatever that means)? If women want sex (isn’t that something you support?), and their options for getting some is limited, it is logical (to me at least) that they might take risks and change their behavior in ways they might not have if men were not scarce. They might trust a man sooner, or get drunk to make themselves less inhibited, or tolerate creepy behavior to get some, because sex is a basic human need. I think people need to acknowledge that this could be happening and I don’t know why some (especially women) won’t.
You have any hard data to support that belief?
I didn’t say “get a grip,” I said “come to grips.” They have different meanings. I wrote “duh” because it seemed so obvious to me that I thought you were intentionally being naive. And yes it is happy hour here.

I did a cursory look for hard data but haven’t had time to do more. I know there are numerous articles about gender imbalance in college, but it is a fairly recent phenomenon (more women than men) so I hope someone researches it soon.
Well unless you can provide any data to support that line of thinking, its rather upsetting to think people really believe men are that primitive and women should acknowledge it because you say so. Enjoy happy hour.

Whatever sexual assault problem there may be on college campuses is not the fault of the women. It doesn’t matter what the women do, or what they wear, or how much they outnumber the men. It is, as it has always been, the fault of the men who make the conscious decision to do the assaulting.
Why do people always say stuff like that on these threads? No-one blamed the women.
