<p>Since I have not found this info online, around how many physics majors and astronomy majors are there at cornell? What about class sizes in intro and upper level courses?</p>

<p>There are about 40 physics majors per class in the college of Arts & Sciences. There are another 40 or so students per class majoring in engineering physics in the College of Engineering.</p>
<p>For intro courses,
“Physics 116 has about 40-80 students in it, while Physics 112 has from 150-300 depending on the
term. [These break into smaller groups of no more than 20 for recitations and labs.]”</p>
