<p>Fwiw, my son is in this class and his view is that the media is totally overreacting to this. He said the start of the class was certainly a bit bizarre, but it got everyone’s attention and he said the rest of the lecture was excellent - one of the best in the course so far. He’s really hoping the school doesn’t take any action against this professor.</p>
<p>Our D is also in that class and she too has said that the media is missing the point(or perhaps shaping their own for ratings). While Professor Emlyn might have chosen an awkward approach our D said she understood its purpose and has said that he made things much clearer outside of what was posted on BWOG and picked up by the national media. I hope he doesn’t get diciplined too harshly for something, while bizarre(taken out of context), but harmless.</p>
