We have read what is on the senate course guide. We are curious if anyone has had either Judge or Katz for Physics? Any preferences? From initial reports, sounds like Judge has been around for years (and might be boring, but generally thought to be good). On the other side, sounds like Katz is quite new.

Specifically, our interest is with regards to Phys 152.

i’ve heard from several people to avoid Judge if at all possible…i haven’t heard much about Katz, but i haven’t heard anything bad about her yet…which is why i registered for her class. i would have taken Pierpaoli since i’d heard pretty good things about her class, but there’s almost no way most EE’s could take the class because the EE101 quiz conflicts with the Friday lecture.

i honestly don’t remember any good reasons not to take Judge, just that the consensus is not to…shrugs it’s really the best thing i have to go on when choosing the class, besides time.

yeah…didnt really read any of the reviews though. i just remember one time when i told this upperclassman i was taking 151, the very next thing she said was “whatever you do, take anyone but Judge for 152” haha. since then i’d heard similar things.
