Physics Egineering transfer question

I was wondering if I could get advice on the Cornell school of engineering. When I looked at Cornell’s website, it was recommended to be a junior for physics engineering. I haven’t found an equivalent to physics III at my college, and I won’t have completed Linear Algebra. I won’t have all prerequisites completed for junior standing, but the website wasn’t clear on that. In other words, would not having those classes completed have a huge impact on transfer decisions? In addition, why is it recommended to transfer to physics engineering as a junior? I am only asking because on Cornell’s website they placed a big emphasis on the classes that meet their prerequisites just as important as your grades. I do meet all of the sophomore prerequisites though.
