I am currently in a NYS Regents Level Physics Course and was considering taking the SATII in Physics. I know that my course is rather basic, and was wondering if any NY students had a similar experience. Same goes for Latin…will a regents course offer enough preperation for the SAT II?
Thanks!

Get the Barron’s SAT physics prep book and see what you know and what you don’t know. Use it to fill in the gaps in your knowledge :)

I was in the same situation last year as a junior. I used the princeton review book and got a 780, but I’m sure that you could use any book and do equally well or better as long as you commit to studying on a regular basis. I mainly focused on memorizing the formulae. Knowing them well is essential to doing well. Try and take as many practice tests as you can find, and it might help if you take it toward the end of the curriculum (may or june). If you do really well in the regents class (if you get like 93’s & above), you should be fine for the SATII (you don’t really need AP Physics). Good Luck!
