Physics Transfer Student

Hi everyone,

I’m a sophomore at UT: Austin who’s a physics student with an interest in engineering (and Plan II, if anyone knows what that means). I’ve got a 4.0 so far and I’ve managed to do very well so far, however I’m interested in the prospect of transferring. UT is quite expensive, especially as my scholarship was recently reduced (due to the worsening economy). I also don’t like the corporate culture of UT or it’s campus aesthetically. I’d like to go to a school that is generous with scholarship money (I’m a resident of NY if that helps), has a more “college” feel, but is still a school with lots of opportunity. The biggest part of this decision is money but my distaste for UT plays a big role.

Thanks a ton!

I’m also interested in Canadian schools (McGill?)
