physics vs math, which is harder?

I was just wondering if there’s a consensus on which major is harder/more quantitative? How much math is in physics? Is it like economics, where advanced economics is basically math?

Speaking as someone who has never gone to the U or ever been within 1000 miles of Chicago (which means I’m an internet expert), it depends…

Hows that for ambiguous? Anyways, I would suggest opening up a copy of Spivak’s Calculus. No, not chapter 10; the introduction, chapter 1. Where he reviews addition with you. Now try the first problem…

You will see that math, at the level that University of Chicago teaches it at, is profoundly difficult and challenging, and nothing like what most see in high school.

I haven’t tried any of the textbooks from the Chicago physics curriculum but at the University of Washington, which has a great physics education program, physics is pretty darn hard too.

I think it depends on the person.
