Pictures on personal essay?

Hey guys

I wrote an essay about the blog and how it reminded me to appreciate the little things in life. I want to add another page with some of my favourite posts from the website and include some pictures, would that be okay or too informal?

Thanks!

I'm wondering this too. I know some colleges like UChicago allow visual aids in their supplement essays, but it varies from college to college. I'm not sure about the common app.

It might not let you submit a file that includes pictures. For my Yale "something extra about yourself" essay I wrote about my quest to pet a sheep when I was in England, and I wanted to end it with a picture (of me petting the only sheep I could catch- a young student's picture on the wall of a classroom), but I couldn't submit it on the common app because of the picture. If you can get it to work though, I say go for it.

I put the pictures into the same Word doc as my personal essay, just on a second page, and it uploaded fine!

Thanks for your reply! :)
