Son is a middle/high school math teacher but had to pair down Pi Day activities due to state testing… bummer one of the funner days of the year!

It didn’t hit me that it was Pi Day until this morning. Working with what I have on hand on this snow/ice day, I’m making a dried blueberry and apple pie with a crumble topping. My DH had to work today so it will be a nice surprise for him when he gets home.
I totally messed up and made a homemade pizza LAST NIGHT! Pizza pie!
I am looking for a place that has Hula Pie equivalent on the menu.
My daughter is a high school math teacher. Pi Day is her absolute favorite day. She is celebrating with pie at school. I still have some Mud Pie leftover from my dad’s birthday on Sunday, so this is a good excuse to finish it off.
My local grocery store was selling small pies for $3.14 so I bought a cherry pie. Unfortunately we have no vanilla ice cream to go with it.
Thanks, Marilyn! I know that Hula Pie is their trademark dish, but there are no Dukes (or Leilanis or any others) nearby - so the hunt for knock offs continues.
Darn…didn’t realize it. Shame on me considering this would have been very keenly celebrated by most students/alums from my STEM-centered public magnet.
Love many different kinds of pies, but I tend to lean more towards savory pies(chicken pot pie, turkey pot pie, beef pot pie, etc) than sweet dessert type pies if I can only choose one.
I’m haunting the MIT group. I have grown to “know” some applicants, and await the decisions.m

No hula pie knockoffs. Found a “SAVE YOUR FORK FOR PIE - 9.95” at Monkeypodkitchen. Sounds delish! That’s where we will be “hiking” later tonight.
