Pitt-CMU Joint Programs/Research Opportunities for Undergrad

this is a reallyyyy long title, but i was wondering:

i think i may be going to pitt for a myriad of reasons, but i was wondering, from anyone that goes to pitt (or cmu) now, what kind of opportunities for undergraduates at Pitt to do research/study at CMU?

right now I am aware of two programs:

  1. special research at the Center for Neural Basis of Cognition, the joint Pitt-CMU program where undergrads may have a teeny shot at research/fellowships

  2. cross-registering at taking classes at CMU (but, they have to be classes that pitt doesn’t offer)

I wouldn’t go to CMU simply because of the high cost even if I got in, but if I am staying in Pittsburgh, I’d love to take advantage of any crossover opportunities from these two amazing schools. Does anyone know of any other programs?

CMU students also cross register at Pitt for classes not offered at CMU - my dds Korean language class had a number of CMU students. It goes both ways.

I think there’s a joint JD/MBA program (Pitt Law, CMU Business). I’m not sure about undergraduate opportunities.
