Pitt's Policy: Course Repeat & Course Sequence

What is Pitt’s policy on repeating CHEM 0120: General Chemistry 2 after students have completed CHEM 0310: Organic Chemistry 1?

My advisor told me that it’s not allowed. If students want to do that, the credits for CHEM 0310 will not count.

In that case, students are not allowed to repeat NROSCI 1000: Intro to Neuroscience if they have completed NROSCI 1011: Functional Neuroanatomy?

I read that a lower sequence course cannot be repeated once a higher sequence course has been completed (to be exact, passed with a C or higher)

Also, I was told that if Course A is prerequisite for Course B, then Course B is a higher sequence course of Course A and this is how you tell whether a course a higher sequence to a particular course.

I’d appreciate it if I could get some clarification on the stuff that I just mentioned.

I was under the impression that CHEM0120 is higher sequence of CHEM0110 and CHEM0320 is higher sequence of CHEM0310. However, CHEM0310 is not higher sequence of CHEM0120.
