If a student has already learned say Calc 3 or something independently, would Pitt allow him or her to take a test (maybe the class final?) to possibly allow the student to get credit for the class? Or at least skip past it to take a higher-level course?
We will accept AP/IB/A Levels for credit: https://oafa.pitt.edu/apply/ap-ib-credit/

^this page has the Calc 2 syllabus, first link has some old quizzes, exams and final
I would make sure you have indeed mastered Calc 2 before moving on to Calc 3
You can ask your advisor about placement tests.

Thanks! But I am a prospective student wondering if anyone on here has had experience with placing out of a class without AP/IB credit. Calc 3 was just an example.
