Does anyone know if any Boarding Schools have their math placement tests posted online? My daughter is changing schools and was hoping to get some practice before she is required to take a test. Thanks!

Yes. But for obvious reasons, like the one you mention, you need a user ID to access them.

Exeter usually has theirs open to any user, go to math dept. and the link “placement tests” is on the left.

I just tried, and they’re password protected.

I can’t answer your question, but speaking as a very experienced tutor, I would highly discourage anyone from practicing taking a placement test. The whole purpose of a placement test is to place the child into the right class according to his or her abilities. By practicing or coaching your child to the test, you run the risk of your daughter placing at a higher level than her ability would dictate. Sure, she could pass the test and place at a higher level, but at the cost of having her miss vital fundamentals that would help her succeed at the next level. The bulk of my students have been kids whose parents have prompted them to move up through math at a much faster pace than what the student was ready for, and as a result, they ended up struggling. The best thing to do in a placement test is to go in and show what you know in order to get the class that’s right for your child. That’s just my humble advice.
