Placement

On the Princeton site, it states:
To qualify for placement in 104 a student should score either a 4 or better on the AB Advanced Placement Examination or should have completed a year of high school calculus and scored 700 or better on the SAT (mathematics aptitude) test.

What test is the “SAT mathematics aptitude” test? Reasoning, Math I or Math II?

i think its the plain SAT… but if you think that you’re up to it, princeton could care less how you actually placed.

I’m pretty sure it’s the SATII. Probably has to be 2c, but I don’t really know. If you look for Princeton’s full AP credit policy, it should tell you specifically. You can find it through collegeboard.

SAT Reasoning Tests used to be known as Scholastic Aptitude Tests. I’m guessing they are still using the (very) old terminolgy for the math section of the general SAT.

I think it’s the reasoning test. Either way from what I’ve heard those placement things aren’t exactly written in stone. Like say you got a 4 on AB and a 680 on the SAT. If you think you can do the work for 104, they’re not gonna keep you out of it

Actually, I was wrong. It’s the SAT I.
