I have not heard of anyone not getting placement if they had the AP credit. Some people chose to retake a class, especially if it’s their major or they don’t feel comfortable with the subject material.

<p>I believe you’re correct. There is some confusion on this since they previously gave advanced placement in freshman Eng. based on your SAT score. This is no longer the case.</p>

<p>OP, the only math class I’ve taken at Maryland was Calc III (H). It was a walk in the park. Only 23 in the class, compared to the very large non-H classes.</p>
