<p>Is it possible to place out of freshman Expos. with good scores on the AP Lit test and/or the writing portion of the SAT? Or the SAT II subject test?</p>

<p>You need a 4 or 5 on AP English Language or Literature.</p>
<p>I thought they only accepted Language and not Literature (unless you already have lang.)…</p>
<p>For engineering, they accepted my AP Lit score. I’m not sure about SAS, though.</p>
<p>How are AP lang and lit different from each other?</p>
<p>There are two different AP English exams: English Language and Composition is one, and
English Literature and Composition is the other. Since both involve composition, I thought either might place you out of Expos. But the Academic Credit page is ambiguous (to me, anyway).</p>
<p>my friend got credit with ap language, and since literature is harder, i’m pretty sure both are acceptable.</p>
