Has anyone received acceptance correspondence?

No. :frowning:

Does anyone have any idea when notifications may come out?

In 2022, had a student accepted into Plan II on the Thursday correlating with today. The year before had a Plan II notification the same weekend. I didn’t have any Plan II apps last year.

I’m guessing a wave of major decisions went out. My daughter (auto) was accepted into McCombs yesterday afternoon. No email or mail correspondence, just a notification on her portal. Nothing from Plan II, though. Please post if you have any news or insight.

My daughter was accepted to Plan II today. Again no email or correspondence yet, just a notification on her portal. Good luck to those waiting.

Anyone else heard from Plan II? My daughter’s friend is hoping to get in and hasn’t heard anything.

DS was accepted mid-Dec. In-state; top 6%; 32 ACT; 4.0. Also accepted to McCombs

Congrats to your son and family!

My son was accepted in mid-Dec to McCombs and Plan II.
In-state, non auto, 1570 SAT, IB & AP, strong ECs.

Congrats to all that have the same outcome and all the best to everyone in the nail biting stages of waiting!

Please check your messages here. We can connect to share notes and the path forward.

Checked MyStatus today, rejected from Plan II.

Considering they admit only 330 applicants to get a yield of a little over 100, I don’t know what else I was expecting.

Has anyone been accepted to Cockrell and Plan II? Engineering and Plan II program?

My son was accepted last night to his Cockrell major (auto admit) and Honors status says “deferred” for engineering honors and plan ii. I

Wow, I would admire anybody who did engineering and Plan II! I had all of four semesters of electives as an engineering major at UT, and I came in with credits and took summer school classes to graduate in four years.

Did you son hear back from Plan II yet? It seems they are still going through the admissions process.

Yes he heard back. He was accepted into Plan II.

Wow, so, he’s going to do Engineering and Plan II? Please report back on how that goes. I can’t even imagine! Will he be in engineering honors?

I will say that I was in engineering honors and made the mistake of signing up for honors physics. Gulp. My GPA in high school was over 98 (they didn’t use the 1-4 scale). On my first college physics exam, I got a 45, and there wasn’t that much of a curve. I thought I was doomed! I got a tutor and worked my tail off for a C. I hadn’t even made a B since 5th grade. I managed a B the second semester of physics.

After that, everything was much easier and I wound up graduating with High Honors and getting a fellowship to UT grad school, where I met my future husband in 1985. We’ve owned our own firm since 1999.
