Plan on taking a gap year...

How do I apply to UCI if I plan on graduating in 2010, but plan on taking a year and a half off.

I know it sounds fishy- but there is a religious institution that offers a full year- and a half of in depth religious studies. Its ceritified, and i’d really like to go into college focused. I want to have a strong spiritual mindset going into college.

The only thing I’m worried about is that (a) colleges will think im too old and out of shape (b) that my test scores and grades will be invalid (c) i’ll forget everything in college.

But I know that I have made sacrifices for everything in my life- and the perfect time will never come.

Is it possible to reserve a spot at a college, in particular, UCI? if so, how?

any other comments are appreciated =]

thanks.

I think you would just have to apply again for what ever year you want to go to school

If you are not currently a student, you will not be able to graduate in 2010, I can tell you that for sure.

Age is no matter at college. It’s not like high school, because you have a lot of older people who go to college because they want an education. I’ve had forty-year old people with children in my undergraduate classes. And out of shape? I bet 75% of college students spend more than 8 hours a day at their computers haha.

And you won’t forget everything. A lot of college courses are like a review of high school stuff.
