Planning ahead for Xmas/New Years travel from DC to Miami - how are things shaping up along I-95?

Need to visit MIL in Miami for the holidays, but frankly a bit leery of post-hurricane conditions along I-95. Has anyone traveled that route since the storms? What is already open, and what looks likely to be be open by then? We often stop around Florence, but it seems to have been badly hit.

I’m from the area and my parents are now there. I was there a week ago. It is fine. Areas you would go to around interstate really had no damage so hotels and restaurants etc fine. Areas around Pee Dee river that flooded are not along hwy.

All flooded stretches of I-95 are fine as far I know in SC but you can check scdot.com for road conditions

All fine.

Thanks! Last year we broke the road time into three days headed south and did some sight-seeing along the way. Good to know we can do that again this year.

I agree all is fine, but I’m sure you and a few million of your closest friends are planning a drive along the same route at the same time. It might be a wee bit crowded. Gotta love 95!
