Planning for Masters interviews in a year from now

First off we are Canadian and our D attends a US college for her Bachelors Degree. Of course she needs to start preparing for applying to Masters programs next fall. In Music performance it really starts now because of the audition requirements, pre - audition requirements etc… My question is should a parent accompanie their child on the Audition/interview for a Masters program. I have TOTAL confidence in my D knowing what to ask, how to prepare or how answer any academic or music related questions. I am very nervous though when it comes to legal type of questions about the F1 visa, Student loans, scholarships, etc. (We know of one Canadian boy who got a fantastic scholarship only to find out that they gave it to him personally to pay his schooling but that became income both in Canada and the US, he ended paying Canadian income tax on the Scholarship he received.) Our D has been told that any scholarships, bursaries, whatever have to be paid to the college not her. We also have questions as parents that we would like to ask. Our D is 100% comfortable with us going with her, we make a concerted effort to not even be seen until she needs our help or that she has asked whoever if her parents could have a few minutes. We also do not want this to look bad as far as the school is concerned.
Any words of advice would be appreciated
