I think it depends on preferences. I do not like most of Mexican food. So I will skip Chipotle. I do not mind Chinese in moderation, so Panda Express is fine for me as well as Olive Garden or Cracker Barell. But all of the above only mostly for road trip.
We had a Perkins growing up and I didnât realize it was a chain until about 10 years ago when I was happy to come across one when traveling. Definitely beats IHOP and Dennyâs.
We went to Flemings in Palo Alto many many years ago, so no idea if itâs still as good as back in the day.
I think people go for the show. We donât have a Benihana, but a local place in our small town where chances are youâre going to recognize the other people you are seated with and thatâs even more uncomfortable than eating with Randos.
I agree many go for the show. We donât have a Benihana but we had or maybe still have, im not sure itâs still around.a local place that I went to once. It was a popular birthday party spot with the middle and HS kids.
We went to Steak Land in Kobe Japan for the Kobe steak. It reminded us of Benihana. There were 4 of us (H, me and our 2 friends). We were seated with a couple traveling from Europe and a young woman traveling on her own from Asia. We found it fascinating talking with them and had a nice time. I ordered the highest priced cut and zH ordered the cheapest. Our friends ordered cuts in between. We all had fun.
It was much cheaper than the more famous steak houses and we found the food & company to be just fine, though not in a rush to return. We had fancier meals with the tour.
Totally agree, but thatâs the opposite of what I want from a restaurant experience, so itâs not for me. I donât play with my food, and I donât want to pay to watch someone play with it for me.
