Sonic is decent, probably number 2 for me after Whataburger in terms of basic fast food. They do make great real fruit/lemonade slushies. I don’t use it that often because it is pure drive in, and if I am going to sacrifice health, fries and onion rings are only good fresh out of the frier, and I don’t eat in my car.
The 110 Grill isn’t a bad chain, but most of their locations are in New England.
a place teenagers go to hang out on weekend nights - and get slushies- and other crap (bad food, ice cream, etc.).
Owned by Darden (Olive Garden, Long Horn, Bahama Breeze). I don’t think good at all. Of all those - Ruth Chris, Morton’s, etc. I personally think Flemings is the best of the branded high end steakhouses.
Darden also owns Cheddar’s - another popular place in the South - that’s no bueno!!
We have lots of great restaurants in Nashville - but these aren’t them - nor are chain biscuit places like Maple Street Biscuit Company or Biscuit Love.
Go local, independent - not chain!!
I will weigh in on Shake Shack. There is one in Grand Central. It’s always my last stop before getting on the train to come home. Yum…their shakes make the ride a real treat. Never miss it!
We have one near us. It’s good, but pricey. But then…everywhere is pricey these days!
110 was great when it was the original 2 restaurants. As it got bigger and bigger the quality has gone down.
We took niece to Flemings to celebrate her engagement. I liked the food and would be willing to return.
Oh I know, I work with national chains every day at work.
Fleming’s didn’t make it in Boston. After 20 years it had to close up shop.
Grill 23 is also a mainstay in Boston.
Well, that’s an oxymoron.
Don’t mind it here for an on the road breakfast.
Another one I don’t get is Benihana. Why would I want to eat with strangers? The couple of times I’ve been were when we had enough people to fill a table so no randos, but I find the “show” with the food prep annoying and the food is just OK. Don’t ever need to do that again.
They’re simply friends you have yet to meet.
We have independent hibachi restaurants here, since we are a family of 7 we rarely get randos.
I agree with this. We have an independent one and one time I attended a birthday party for a family friend and while our party was decent size, they still added a random single guy to our table who was in town on business. I found it SUPER awkward - thank goodness he wasn’t seated next to me.
Super awkward when the rando orders the same thing (or parts of same components) and the cook has to deal out equal portions after creating a consolidated pile.
I’ve never been to a Benihana, and after these posts, I’m never going there. Meals with random people? No thank you.
A haha hi is more like a dinner show, you are seated next to each other at a U shaped high table.
