<p>I’m considering Dartmouth College, Cornell University, and Brown University for early decision. However, my SAT scores are not what they should be because of a stupid bubble in mistake on one of the sections. Although, I’m taking the ACT in June, and I feel much more confident about it. I’ll be done with my SAT IIs in June, as well, which I do much better on anyway.</p>
<p>I really don’t want my SAT scores to be factored into the decision. So, I was considering sending Dartmouth my ACT scores only for early decision, if I do apply there. Then, after being accepted or deferred, I’d send SAT II scores. Would this be a bad idea, deliberately not sending CB transcript even if I’ve taken the SAT IIs by the application deadline?</p>
<p>I was going to say that I’d think what you were planning to do was okay, but something occured to me: when you would eventually send your SAT scores in, it would show that you could have sent them in at an earlier date (they will see that you had already taken the required tests). I think this would at the best reflect poorly on you–it would look like you were gaming the system–and at worst could be a big detriment to your app. So, I would say don’t do it–take them at their word that they will only consider your highest scores.</p>
<p>So, comet, do you think I should just send in my SAT II scores along with my ACT scores in Novemeber to whatever school I do early decision to (I have three choices to choose from)? You don’t think I should send them in later?</p>
<p>I think most colleges outright say they look at your highest score (ACT or SAT) when considering you for admissions, so you should send your SAT // SAT II scores when you apply ED.</p>
<p>I looked at the Dartmouth honor code, and I didn’t know that it was that tough. So, now I’m not even going to try this and just send what I have.</p>
<p>Anyway, would the following test scores be enough to cover the SAT score, disguise it?</p>

<p>I could take the SAT again in October, but if I get those ACT scores, then there really wouldn’t be any point in doing so. APs, SAT IIs, and ACT will be done by June 9. Some of those tests I haven’t taken yet, but those are the scores I have or expect.</p>
<p>They’ll get the individual scores from the ACT sections, I’m guessing. And they’ll know something must have happened if they see say a 34 on the ACT reading and a 580 on the SAT CR. Unless you didn’t do so well on the ACT reading also…</p>
<p>Just send in all of your stuff. They really will look at the best of each.</p>
