please chance a freshman (harvard class of '16)

<p>obviously I’m just kidding. I’m a senior…</p>

<p>from a small private school outside of Boston
sends lots of students to top schools</p>

<p>GPA: 3.65 weighted (avg. GPA for my grade is ~3.1)</p>

<p>class rank: does not rank</p>

<p>SAT: 1990… CR 630, M 670, W 690
SAT II: Math I 680, French 700, French w/ Listening 11/1</p>

<p>AP:
Junior Year - French & English (took 2/3 possible APs that year)
scored a 5 in French, 3 in ENG
Senior Year - Environmental Science (1/2 possible APs this year) </p>

<p>and then I have some honors classes.</p>

<p>mature, creative approach to my essay… talks about my screen name identity vs. my real world identity</p>

<p>probably one excellent recommendation, and one very good recommendation</p>

<p>EC:
Varsity Crew 9, 10, 11, 12
Yearbook (co-editor) 11, 12
Sailing 9, 10, 11, 12 (ranked in top 15% in Southern MA)
Environmental Club 11, 12</p>

<p>please chance me at:
(accepted, waitlisted, rejected)</p>

<p>Dartmouth ED*
Boston College**
U of Miami
Coll. of Charleston
Tulane
Wake Forest
Providence College
St. Mary’s Coll of MD
Villanova
USC
Vanderbilt
Emory
Salve Regina***</p>

<p><em>I know it’s a stretch. I’m just applying ED because I’m a legacy and have some connections. I thought I’d give it my best shot and would be thrilled if I got in, and then carry on if rejected/waitlisted
*</em>legacy/my school sends lots of students to BC
***my safety</p>

<p>thanks :D</p>

<p>I’ll go with:
Dartmouth ED: Waitlist (maybe)
Boston College: Accepted
U of Miami: DON’T GO THERE!
Coll. of Charleston: Accepted
Tulane: Accepted
Wake Forest: Accepted
Providence College: Accepted
St. Mary’s Coll of MD: Accepted
Villanova: Accepted (maybe) (good school, know someone going there)
USC: Accepted (Go there! Go Trojans! The school has such a loyalty you won’t find elsewhere. But you’ll have to get used to not going out walking much at night as it is right next to Compton. Beautiful campus!)
Vanderbilt: Accepted
Emory: Accepted
Salve Regina: Accepted (?) (Don’t know about this one)</p>

<p>Good luck!</p>

<p>^wait o_O</p>

<p>There’s no way I’ll be accepted at all those schools… USC, Vandy, and Emory are reaches
thanks for the boost though.</p>

<p>this is what I was thinking,
Dartmouth ED - 25% chance
Boston College - 55% chance
U of Miami - 50% chance
Coll. of Charleston - 75% chance
Tulane - no idea
Wake Forest - 40% chance
Providence College - 75% chance
St. Mary’s Coll of MD - 70% chance
Villanova - 50% chance
USC - 30% chance
Vanderbilt - 25% chance
Emory - 40% chance
Salve Regina - 100% chance (safety)</p>

<p>is that about right?</p>

<p>Dartmouth ED* - reach, although you have legacy so maybe waitlist
Boston College** - you have legacy, so match/low reach
U of Miami - should be in
Coll. of Charleston - in
Tulane - in
Wake Forest - low reach/match
Providence College - in
St. Mary’s Coll of MD - in
Villanova - low reach
USC - reach
Vanderbilt - reach
Emory - reach
Salve Regina*** - huh?</p>

<p>hahah.
no one knows about Salve Regina… [Salve</a> Regina University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](<a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salve_Regina_University]Salve”>Salve Regina University - Wikipedia)</p>

<p>hmm. should I reconsider my safety? I think it’s more known in the New England area.</p>

<p>bumpppppppppper</p>

<p>I know that WF puts a lot on character…depending on how good your ECs, essay, & recomendations are that’ll really shift your chances for WF. Right now those ECs aren’t too strong…</p>
